African Civil Wars

Even though nowadays all the politicians from the developed countries pretend to be proclaiming the idea of a complete peace between states, the situation is quite different in the various regions of the globe. A shocking example is the situation in Africa where, even being hidden by media on purpose, many civil wars tear apart the territories of the states. This constant war regime is claimed by the developed countries to be a subject of change and the politicians always mention the strategies available so that the world organizations would interfere… however, for more than 40 years no effective interference has been seen. And do developed countries need to do anything at all?

War is not only a way to defend particular ideas, to influence the masses and to gain freedom or rights -war is a good and prosperous business, particularly to weapon manufactures and gas companies. It is a common truth that the African military production cannot maintain this war situation, the resources and military equipment would not suffice the needs of soldiers and rebels. This leads to a quite logical conclusion -both African states and rebels buy weaponry, ammo and all sort of equipment from the developed countries since these produce large amount of the goods the fighting parties need. If peace is established, many lives would be spared, many people will find the comfort of their own state, the national and international war propaganda and pressure will stop. But something else will stop too -the weaponry importation from the developed countries which benefit significantly from the war situation in the continent.

Having into consideration the above mentioned logical conclusions, the final point is easy to make -developed countries do not have a significant interest in contributing to the peace process in Africa since this would mean losses from weaponry production and a lot of money cut out from the national income. In order to avoid such bias in the interests, world organizations must develop accurate and effective measures to maintain and proclaim peace process.
